UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.

Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.

And we never give up.

For every child, a Goodwill Ambassador

UNICEF is reaching a pivotal moment in the COVID-19 Pandemic Response and in preparation of the new Strategic Plan. As such, there is a need to increase the Goodwill Ambassador (GWA)  team’s contribution to ensure the success of the UNICEF Global Advocacy Priorities (GAPs), including but not limited to: building a global movement for vaccine affordability, availability and equity as a contribution to overall strengthening of primary health care and improved health outcomes for all children.  As prominent personalities from the world of entertainment, sports and more, GWAs – as influential advocacy partners – play a critical role by lending their name and voice to raise awareness and mobilize the public to win the support of key decision makers.

The assignment involves project management support of on-going relationships with GWAs, planning of GWA activities and general support of the GWA team.

How can you make a difference?

The Advocacy Section seeks to hire a specialist to improve the project management (planning, execution and monitoring/evaluating) of GWA activities.  The specialist will work with the GAP strategy co-leads, Web Editorial, Social Media, Multimedia, Media, and Youth Engagement teams to create workflows, create templates for project management tools to ensure all elements of the project meet the deadlines.  The Project Manager will track and manage all concurrent projects for cross project planning. This includes updating and modifying all written materials needed for the Goodwill Ambassador programme with reference to GWA vaccine support.
