UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.

Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.

And we never give up.

Remark: The Office of Innovations is currently going through organizational changes therefore the exact location of the post is still under consideration.

For every child, hope…

The world is falling behind in the pace of progress we are currently seeing against our common ambition of reaching the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. This is unfortunately very true for children-related issues as well, with COVID-19 compounding the severity of the challenges and forcing millions more children into poverty and malnutrition, and widening already significant gaps in learning outcomes for hundreds of millions of children.

The Office of Innovation (OoI) works hard to offer a measure of hope against the above situation, and aims to catalyse UNICEF’s and all its partners’ expertise and resources against key children-outcomes bottlenecks, with a view to continuously ideate and scale the most effective solutions with transformational potential at scale against the child-related SDGs.

The office is doing this by continuously exploring new ways of accelerating results for children, investing across a range of early stage solutions, and harnessing internal and partners’ expertise towards continuously iterating and finetuning the most promising solutions for children through a systematic portfolio management approach, and leveraging all stakeholders’ innovation energy, knowhow and resources from intergovernmental, multilateral, private sector and non-governmental fora (think tank, academia).

How can you make a difference?

Office of Innovation (OOI) is looking for a Senior Adviser (Partnerships and Resource Mobilization) who is dynamic, driven and strategic.
