CISL’s Centre for Policy and Industrial Transformation is a team operating from Cambridge and Brussels and works to develop key policy-focused convenings, reports and research in support of CISL’s mission. We work at EU, UK and international levels to deliver influential activities, including our Corporate Leaders Groups and the EU Green Growth Partnership and work alongside the We Mean Business Coalition.

The team is looking for a Project Manager that would focus on supporting the delivery of research projects as well as our broader policy engagement agenda. We are looking for someone with excellent project management skills and experience in helping deliver research and publications, as well as the linked dissemination plans and stakeholder engagement.

Applicants should demonstrate the following skills and experience:

·         Commitment to the values that underpin CISL’s work and a keen interest in sustainability.

  • Experience in conducting research, specifically in relation to sustainability, EU policy and policy in general.
  • Experience in managing the delivery of publications and the associated communications.
  • Advanced project planning skills with ability to respond willingly, quickly, flexibly and with resilience to changing business imperatives budgets.
  • Experience of event management.
  • Experience and confidence in drawing up, maintaining and monitoring project budgets.
  • Ability to interact confidently and credibly with a wide range of senior stakeholders from policy, academic and business backgrounds.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, demonstrating a high proficiency in English.
  • Good presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to make complex content accessible to wider ranging audiences.
  • The ability to work independently and pro-actively as part of a fast-paced project team, operating on own initiative and demonstrating flexibility in managing competing priorities to secure deliverables and meet deadlines.
  • High level of competence across standard software packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience of working with a Client Relationship Management system (preferably based on MS Dynamics) is  desirable.

·         Qualification to degree level or equivalent.

·         European language skills, in addition to English (desirable).

The post is a permanent contract, to start as soon as possible.

Applicants must have the right to work in Belgium. The post is located in our Brussels office, although currently team members are working from home, due to Covid-19 related restrictions. The post will also potentially require travel, including visits to the United Kingdom, should travel become viable in the period ahead.
