Overview

Creative Associates is seeking a Systems Analyst to join the Application Development team. The analyst will leverage technology for low/no-code development, provide user training and documentation, make continuous improvements, conduct business analysis, and partake in business process improvement. The position will act as a subject matter expert and trusted partner for the business to produce optimal software and an excellent user experience for various line of business (LOB) and collaboration systems.

This position is 100% remote and can be functional from any location. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a growing team of professionals who are dedicated to producing technical solutions in partnership with the business. While primarily focused on Grants and Procurement processes and systems, the position offers exposure to a variety of software platforms, tools, and business processes across the company, offering a challenging, yet rewarding experience.

Responsibilities

  • Address business requirements or needs with appropriate solutions, capabilities, or configurations. Advise on best practices, recommend improvements and alternatives as needed based on analysis.
  • Perform user support for systems – diagnose issues and provide prompt resolutions while maintaining timely and frequent contact with end-users. Update ticketing system consistently.
  • Communicate issue status to management and users, prioritize and organize issues appropriately, and document issue resolutions.
  • Maintain user documentation, instructions, and trainings. In coordination with functional areas, participate in user trainings at HQ and in the Field, mentor staff on optimal use of systems.
  • Build workflow solutions – configure thresholds, routing rules, approvals, and other workflow branching logic.
  • Improve form design and functionality to facilitate effective collection of data, including adding and removing form fields, setting required fields, configuring form logic, and specifying submission rules.
  • Build informative reports according to business need, including paginated and analytical reports.
  • Control user access to systems, create users, and assign permissions. Consider security during solution development.
  • Manage third-party involvement with systems maintenance and software licensing. Open support tickets with vendors for enhancements or issues as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with latest trends and updates in each system, and apply lessons learned to Creative.
  • Collaborate with Application Development team to produce custom code solutions. Provide requirements and verify produced solutions fulfill business requirements.
  • Perform basic scripting using SQL and PowerShell as needed or appropriate.**Qualifications**

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience working as a systems analyst, developer, administrator, or other related position.

  • Preferred experience with the following technologies (experience with comparable technologies will be considered):

    • ReQlogic/DXC Procurement Solution (Procurement System)
    • Microsoft Dynamics SL (ERP)
    • Fluxx Grantmaker (Grants Management System)
    • Microsoft Dynamics 365
    • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate (Flow), Power Apps, Power BI)
  • Experience with on-premises and cloud (SaaS) applications.

  • Fluent in English is required (spoken, written, reading)

  • Occasional travel to Creative’s field offices may be required for training or rollout purposes.

  • Understanding of database development and normalization. SQL experience preferred.

  • Ability to change priorities quickly and handle ambiguity. Possess capacity to handle multiple ongoing tasks/projects.

  • Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle, specifically Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

  • Familiarity with government contracting, Grants, Procurement preferred but not required.

  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn new and emerging technologies.

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical ability.
