Background

As part of the British National Action Plan 1325 in line with the Conflict, Stability, and Security Fund (CSSF) – Iraq Programme, the project “Women’s Voices First – Women Leading the Way to Inclusive Peace in Iraq” will support Iraqi grassroots women-led, feminist, women’s rights organizations (WROs) and civil society organizations (CSOs) to jointly deliver a localized and transformative Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda. The project aims to contribute to inclusive peace and security in communities across federal and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq committing itself to the following pillars – enabling CSOs, including grassroots women-led, feminist and women’s rights organizations to:

  1. Implement programming on self-defined WPS priorities that meet the identified needs of women and girls in their communities.  
  1. Operate as self-reliant development actors who can manage and access funding as well as implement programming on self-defined WPS priorities.
  2. Establish a network of CSOs and WROs, representing the diversity of Iraqi communities, by lobbying and advocating for inclusive political processes and (inter)national policies on peace and security in Iraq.

Cordaid is recruiting a report writer and note taker to support the development of workshop reports and resources for the participants, the narrative reporting of the project and project WVF website.  

The Requirements:

  • The applicant responsible of flight ticket for he/She.
  • The applicant will work one day 7 hours.
  • The applicant will cover he/she accommodation.
  • The applicant will cover he/she transportation.
  • Any extra payment must cover by he/she

 

Key responsibilities:

Keep abreast of all developments in the activity to prepare appropriate reports, briefing and background notes, and other documentation as required.

  • Work closely with Project Management to draft and/or design the conference agenda.
  • Introducing sessions and speakers.
  • Managing the agenda and ensuring adherence to timeframes.
  • Encouraging participation from all attendees.
  • Moderating panel discussions, Q&A sessions, and interactive activities.
  • Facilitating networking opportunities during breaks.
  • Handling any unforeseen challenges or disruptions with professionalism and tact.

 

Location:

Baghdad, Erbil, Sulaymaniyah (Will be confirmed later)

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in facilitating conferences, workshops, or similar events.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Ability to maintain neutrality and foster inclusivity.
  • Knowledge of the conference topic or related programs.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing dynamics.
  • Affinity with women, peace and security programming (development and implementation of programs, monitoring, evaluation and learning).
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial, and effective in a fast-paced cross-cultural online work environment.
