*What will you be doing as the Grant & Fund Development Manager?*

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Grants & Fund Development Manager oversees and leads the development and implementation of the annual grants and fund development program. They are responsible for the identification, application submission and reporting of all project grants in accordance with Pride Toronto’s grant management processes and contractual requirements.

*Other responsibilities include: *

Grant Development (30%):

– Leads the grant development process of all funding programs: research, communications, protocols, inquiries, application, review, approval/decline, granting agreements, monitoring and reporting according to the established granting priorities and guidelines.
– Identifying new grants and funding opportunities
– Executes on and implements funding decisions; establish metrics and review progress of initiatives and funded programs.
– Develops processes to improve Pride Toronto’s grant management systems, records and overall granting administration.
– Manages the participation of key stakeholders, including but not limited to staff, Board of Directors and Members in the grant review process
– Communicate with foundations, if needed, to confirm an organization is applicable to apply for funding
– Identify all requirements of grant to ensure all necessary attachments are submitted on time

Grant Project Management and Reporting (30%):

– Responsible for the monitoring, completion and timely submission of accurate financial reports for all grants in their portfolio, including budget allocations, deferred and match funding revenue tracking in liaison with staff.
– Closely monitors project budget spending and cost allocations.
– Manages cost-share allocations in accordance with cost-share projections and allowable expenses.
– Supports the development of new donor project budgets as required.
– Tracks existing and pipeline of all restricted funding
– Leads the development of grants summaries and grants reports

Collaboration and Partnership Management (20%):

– Conducts regular communications with grantees, community stakeholders and beneficiaries and coordinates their continued engagement with Pride Toronto.
– Guides and encourages grant partners to initiate and strengthen cross-sector partnerships and collaboration with other experts in their field.
– Cultivates and maintains a network of grant partners, experts and institutions of relevance to advance the vision and mission of Pride Toronto.
– Builds and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders Pride Toronto, in order to better understand their goals and deliverables in order to collaborate on the execution of various initiatives.
– Assist with festival delivery and ensure any assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner

Fund Development (20%):

– In collaboration with the Director of Development and the Executive Director set funding priorities.
– Develop a phased, multi-year strategy and implement an individual giving program through direct mail, online donations, monthly giving,third-party, and individual major gifts.
– Support the Community Engagement manager with all fundraising aspect related to Charity of Choice
– Lead donation campaign during festival month.
– Develop and implement a corporate giving program.
– Conduct research on individual and corporate funding prospects.
– Develop and implement a donor recognition and cultivation program.
– Manage and foster a relationship with your portfolio of donors and implement a moves management process with key donors.
– Develop all communication materials as required in collaboration with Communications – appeal letters, donor correspondence, case for support, etc.

*What are we looking for?*

Qualifications and skills required of the role.

– Exceptional strategic thinking abilities and experience in successfully overseeing complex projects
– 3+ years of grant writing experience
– Strong organizational skills including the ability to simultaneously manage multiple priorities
– Ability to analyze financial data, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
– Proven ability to work independently as well as in a group setting
– Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel
– Excellent knowledge of fundraising information sources.
– Demonstrated administrative background
– Demonstrated experience in obtaining grants from non-profits, charities, and other philanthropic organizations
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
– Experience with non-profit organizations fundraising a plus
– Not required, but good to have: G-class drivers license
