Job Title: Content Writer

Department: Media and Communication

Report to: Executive Director

Job Grade: G2

Job Purpose

To manage proposal development in cooperation with relevant departments within Ihsan. In addition, to oversee the implementation of the Communication strategy including, but not limited to media outreach and development of media tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce well-researched content for publication online and in print
  • Write social media post content as per the requested topic
  • Organize writing schedules to complete drafts of content or finished projects within deadlines
  • Utilize industry best practices and familiarity with the organization’s mission to inspire ideas and content
  • Develop related content for multiple platforms, such as websites, posts descriptions, videos, and blogs
  • Use search engine optimization (SEO) strategies in writing to maximize the online visibility of a website in search results

Note: the above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Another future responsibilities/accountability may be assigned to the job depending on the department’s organizational chart.

Qualification (Education/Work Experience)

1. Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Media, Art, or any related field
  • 2 years of experience in the media and communication field

2. Desirable:

  • Master’s degree in Media, Art, or any related field
  • 4 years of experience in the media and communication field
