Ibn Haldun University
The Department of Psychology at Ibn Haldun University, Istanbul invites applications for a number of full-time faculty positions at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. The University’s strategic plan includes a focussed expansion of the psychology department and we seek applications from promising or established scholars with research and teaching experience in several areas of psychology. These include Biological Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Neuropsychology, Neuroscience, Perception, and Social Psychology. The successful candidates will teach undergraduate courses in their respective areas as well as general psychology courses.
Qualifications and Responsibilities: Applicants should hold a PhD in psychology or a related discipline and show evidence of (or the potential for) an excellent publication record (requirements vary with rank). A demonstrated ability (or the potential) to secure external research funding would be an advantage. Faculty members are expected to maintain productive research programs and become part of our expansion of PhD and Masters courses within the department. Successful applicants typically will teach 2 courses per semester (with no teaching requirement during summers), and supervise PhD, Masters, and senior thesis students. The language of instruction at Ibn Haldun University is English.
Appointments: Appointments will begin in September 2021 (negotiable). Salary will be internationally competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
