Procurement of Agricultural Goods and Inputs for FSSFS Project in Puntland Somalia– FSSFS-CEFA07

CEFA – European Committee for Training and Agriculture has received financing from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Italian Agency for Cooperation and Development (AICS) for the implementation of the “FSSFS-Food Security and Sustainability in Fragile Situations” Project and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this grant to eligible payments under this contract.

CEFA invites Bids from eligible entities (“Bidders”) for the provision of agricultural goods and inputs in Puntland State of Somalia. The goods and related services, and the contract expected to be awarded, are divided into the following 4 (four) lots

  • LOT 1 – Hand tools
  • LOT 2 – Sprayers
  • LOT 3 – Seeds
  • LOT 4 – Water pumps

This RFB is open to all eligible Bidders who wish to respond. Subject to restrictions noted in the Bidding Document, eligible entities may associate with other Bidders to enhance their capacity to successfully carry out the assignment.

Bidding will be conducted using the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) method, the evaluation procedure for which is described in this Bidding Document, in accordance with the IFAD Procurement Handbook which is provided on the IFAD website

The NCB process, as described, will include a review and verification of qualifications and past performance, including a reference check, prior to the contract award.

Bidders should be aware that late bids will not be accepted under any circumstance and will be returned unopened at the written request and cost of the Bidder.
