Under the overall supervision of the Deputy Head of Programme and direct supervision of School Feeding Programme Policy Officer, the Programme Assistant will be responsible for, and not limited to, the following duties:

  • Assist the School Health unit, in regular coordination and information sharing with key technical persons from MoHS, MoE, MoALI and MoSWRR together with other relevant Ministries and stakeholders
  • Assist the National Consultant in development of operational guideline including M&E module and menu planning for the school meal programs in coordination with Ministries, WFP and private sectors
  • Collecting and compiling the quantitative data on a routine basis, such as number of students who received school meal, volume of assistance (food/cash) disbursed, school profile and providing standard report to WFP and relevant Ministries
  • Conduct secondary data analysis and compile indicators in order to enhance the coordination and quality control in implementation and monitoring of the school feeding programme
  • Reviewing the implementation data (monthly/quarterly distribution plan and report) for tracking their achievement against plan and outputs indicators.
  • Organize the coordination meetings/workshops, trainings among the school feeding technical working group at national level, produce the meeting note and prepare action plan
  • Organize planning mission, meeting and briefing sessions with WFP and School Heal unit
  • Assist the SF team in consolidating, analyzing and presenting proposed planning data from Area/Field Offices to the supervisor for effective planning and decision making.
  • Provide support to the CO and field offices in commodity call forward and food transfer process as well as the cash request and transfer process in coordination with CO units (in alternate of SF Programme Associate).
  • Coordinating with the M&E unit for creating the partnership and provide support to field offices in relation with COMET system (in alternate of SF Programme Associate)
  • Perform any other tasks in technical areas of this Assistant as required.
