The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH looking for Experts or consulting firms for “Capacity Development of the Service Unit Event within GIZ AU for hybrid and virtual event management ”
For the past 15 years, since 2004, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH has been working with the African Union (AU) at its headquarters in Addis Ababa, multiple departments of the African Union Commission (AUC), the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD), and AU’s regional organisations, specialised institutions and member states. The common goal is to strengthen management capacities and enhance coordinationand efficiency between the continental, regional and national levels of development.The GIZ Office to the African Union (GIZ AU) currently implements 17 projects in over 35 different member states.
GIZAU is seeking services of a virtual event management company to elaborate guidelines and concepts for virtual and hybrid events via MS-Teams. The overall objective is to provide the SU Event with tools and capacitiesthat enable them to conduct these services independently in the future.
Period of assignment: From 25th of September until April 30, 2022 for up to 21 expert days.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education/training: One to three experts with university qualification (Master) in Leadership, Event and/or marketing management, social sciences, organizational development, –
Language: 2 experts with very good language skills in English, good language skills in another working language of the African Union (French), required for 1expert
General professional experience: 1expert with at least 5 years of experience in the conceptualization of virtual events, event management-
Specific professional experience: 2 experts with at least 5 years of experience in moderation, from this at least 1 year of experience in online moderation, 1 expert with at least 3 years of professional experience in web-based tools, especially MS-Teams.-
Regional experience: One to three experts with at least 5 years of experience in Africa(region)-Other: Experience in engaging with high-level officials and civil society.
