CSR Europe is currently looking for an intern to join its team in Brussels for a period of six months.

What kind of person are we looking for?

  • Good understanding of the EU institutions and the business environment, interest in CSR issues.
  • Good communication skills (oral and written) – ability to communicate formally and professionally.
  • Ability to deal with multi-disciplinary tasks and capacity to respond rapidly to a variety of diverse tasks.
  • Good time management skills with the ability to multi-task and respond rapidly to a number of simultaneous requests.
  • Enthusiastic about learning new things and a go-getter attitude!

Your tasks will be:

Since 2020 the new European Commission and European Parliament are in an unprecedented race to equip Europe with a new generation of EU policies and regulations that will directly impact business and industry. While the Board of CSR Europe wants to prioritize a limited number of EU policies, the volume of EU initiative requires CSR Europe to support its members with strong analysis and to help them to be ready to comply with new sustainability related regulations.

To this end the EU team needs to continue to work with an EU intern who will assist staff members on a number of activities which may include:

  • Researching various topics related to CSR in the EU.
  • Assisting with providing CSR-related EU information to members (EU insights, EU update calls, etc.).
  • Participation in meetings with EU officials and other stakeholders.
  • Assisting with the organisation’s event management (EU events, etc.).
  • Preparation of EU information for High-Level meetings (General Assembly, BoD meetings, etc.).
  • Update internal documents, website, database and support with general administrative and organisational tasks.

What skills do you have ? 

  • Good language skills: Fluency in English is essential (other languages desirable).
  • Good research skills: ability to find relevant information and summarise the essence.
  • Good analytical skills: ability to work with data on benchmarks and company assessments.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written): ability to provide both information in a timely, clear and concise manner; and to expresses ideas effectively, adjusting style, tools and mode to the needs of others.
  • Good IT skills: Demonstrable experience with MS Office suite esp. strong skills with MS Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Good presentation skills: Ability to speak and present concepts publicly.
  • Good multi-tasking skills: Capacity to rapidly respond to a variety of diverse tasks.

What Do We Offer?

  • A paid, six-month internship based in our office in Brussels – interns at CSR Europe are paid a monthly stipend of 781 Euros.

Requirements:

  • Academic
  1. The applicant must be either a recent postgraduate or a student who is required to complete an internship in order to finish their postgraduate studies.
  2. The applicant should have an academic background in a relevant field (business, economics, sustainability studies). You may explain the link of your studies to sustainability in your cover letter.
