Center for Human Rights Program Associate
The American Bar Association Center for Human Rights is the ABA’s focal entity for critical human rights concerns in the United States and around the world. The Center is seeking a Program Associate to assist with day-to-day administration and regional programmatic support for regions including but not limited to Latin America and the Caribbean, Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East and North Africa, Eurasia, and Asia. 
Responsibilities:
Implement one or more programs or projects, includes participation in    
        program/project planning and ensuring compliance with ABA policies. 
Provides administrative support for each region. 
Analyzes project/program performance throughout the process to ensure 
        projects move forward in a productive manner. 
Provide research and writing support to program.
Serves as a point of contact for projects. 
Communicates with member leaders and staff, including reporting on progress 
        and results.  
Coordinates with others on joint projects
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university (or equivalent 
        experience) 
Preferred Qualifications: 
 
Experience preferably in an association or non-profit setting
Full working proficiency or native fluency in Spanish, Russian, or Arabic 
        strongly preferred. Fluency in additional U.N. languages helpful.
Experience working on a grant-funded project or program. Fundraising or grant 
        writing experience is a plus.  
Analytical problem-solving ability and self-direction
Strong research and writing skills
Meeting or event planning experience
Attention to detail and organization skills.
