Background

USAID’s current Global Health Supply Chain (GHSC) program falls under the Agency’s Bureau for Global Health (GH). The future design will provide a range of quality-assured essential health commodities through robust global and local supply chains, while strengthening in-country supply chain and pharmaceutical management systems to support the highest possible level of health.

Position Summary

I4DI is seeking a Chief of Party for the anticipated multi-year USAID-funded, Next Generation Global Health Supply Chain (NextGen GHSC). The Chief of Party will provide leadership, management, and technical direction for the NextGen GHSC Contract ensuring high quality of program deliverables; managing task orders; serving as chief liaison to USAID, local partners, key stakeholders, and I4DI HQ; and ensuring the capacity of a highly responsive, flexible, results-driven program agenda.

Responsibilities

  • Provide vision and overall leadership on the NextGen GHSC Contract, including but not limited to planning, design, and implementation of technical activities, financial management, and operations;

  • Manage staff and subcontractors to ensure the timely provision of responsive, high-quality project deliverables;

  • Oversee qualitative and quantitative data collection and management, report generation, knowledge sharing

  • Ensure overall data quality and reporting timeline

  • Lead coordination and consultations with USAID, implementing partners, and other key stakeholders and audiences as required and report regularly to the I4DI HQ;

Qualifications

Successful candidates should have:

  • A master’s degree in Public Health, Biology, Business Administration, Health Economics, International Relations

  • Minimum 10 years of demonstrated experience managing complex projects and proven managerial and technical experience in supply chain management in developing countries, particularly in the area of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, public health or related fields;

  • Excellent team leadership, representational, management, and communication skills;

  • Prior experience managing USAID programs preferred;

  • Understanding of and/or experience with USAID Bureau for Global Health (GH), GH offices, and other Regional Bureaus and Missions

  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
