The British Embassy in Rabat is looking for a dynamic team player to take up the position of Intern to start as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will report to the Deputy Head of Programmes and will be part of the Morocco network Programme Unit.
Main duties and responsibilities:
The Intern will be expected to fulfil the following objectives, as relevant:
- Providing administrative and logistical support for Embassy projects;
- Assisting in coordinating events or other special requests as needed;
- Research and
- Data-base management.
The above list is not exhaustive and the jobholder will be required to be flexible and take on other ad hoc tasks as required.

- Good command of written and spoken English, French and Arabic;
- Current University student or recent (within two years) graduate;
- Interest in a career in Programme Management;
- Ability to learn quickly and work well under pressure;
- Enthusiasm and flexibility;
- Solid command of Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience of organising formal events, receptions or presentations;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Project coordination.

The Embassy aims to offer an attractive working environment and remuneration package for this role, including a non negotiable gross salary of MAD 11,397 per month, inclusive of all allowances. However, employees who are not liable to pay local income tax on their Mission salary may have their salaries reduced by the equivalent local income tax amount. The package includes a good level of medical insurance, 21 days of annual leave per annum (on pro rata basis) plus 14 public holidays, and access to the on-site swimming pool, tennis court and gym facilities.
This is a full-time intern position, on a fixed term basis for six (6) months.
Conditioned working hours are 38 hours per week. Standard hours are 8.00 – 16.15 Mon-Thu and 8.00 – 13.00 Fri. The Embassy encourages flexible working, subject to operational need and line manager’s approval. Independent working will be tested as a competence in interviews.
The Embassy has a strong commitment to learning and development and all staff are required to agree a learning and development plan with their line manager.
