The Department of Economics at the University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver) invites applicants to apply for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. This position’s primary research and teaching falls within the department’s applied microeconomics/econometrics concentration. The Assistant Professor’s teaching and research in applied microeconomics/econometrics will address issues in the areas of labor/development/environmental economics.

The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in econometrics and environmental economics

Mentoring undergraduate and graduate students on their research projects

Conducting original scholarly research leading to conference papers and scholarly publications

Contributing to the local/university and professional communities through service

Salary and Benefits:
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $116,000.

The above salary rate (or hiring rate) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Ph.D. in Economics or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates that show a promise of excellent scholarship and teaching and experience working in all fields in applied microeconomics/econometrics.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
