Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund supplies 1 million smallholder farmers with the agricultural services they need to make their farms vastly more productive. Our 8,000+ team is drawn from diverse backgrounds and professions. With operations across six core countries in Africa, we make farmers more prosperous by providing quality farm supplies on credit, delivered within walking distance of farmers’ homes, and agricultural training to improve harvests. On average, the farmers we serve harvest 50 percent more food after working with One Acre Fund.

About the Role
One Acre Fund is expanding the way that it serves farmers, providing them with multiple access points, payment options, and training channels, with the end vision to optimize the customer experience and increase the number of farmers we serve. We are looking for someone to lead the development and innovation of our rural retail business. As Innovations Associate, you will grow and develop our offerings to ensure that we are serving farmers in the best ways possible. You will report to the Operations Lead and work in close collaboration with the multiple teams to provide an excellent customer experience for more than 500,000 farmers. You will move projects from concept to full operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop a measurable strategy to promote rapid innovation and improvements through our retail network.
- Generate insights through surveys, human-centered design, and rapid business experiments that drive better products, services, and sales models for customers.
- Manage a team and engage with the wider organization to implement improvements across our retail network.

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:
- 3+ years of experience in Entrepreneurial Experience / Retail Operations / Business Consultancy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Retail Operations, or similar related field.
- Exceptional analytical skills, able to work with quantitative and qualitative information, exercise judgement, and make decisions in the context of uncertainty, and use data effectively to drive strategy.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience managing work across multiple sites across a wide geographic area.
