About us

We are the first French organization 100% focused on issues at the crossroad of finance and social and climate justice. Launched in 2020, Reclaim Finance has already emerged as one of the go-to organizations of climate-related financial issues.

Affiliated with Friends of the Earth France, we aim to push the financial sector to work towards sustainable societies. In the context of the climate emergency and biodiversity losses, one of Reclaim Finance’s priorities is to accelerate the decarbonization of financial flows. Our method to get there: to snatch wins, one by one.

We expose the climate impacts of some financial actors, denounce the most destructive practices, and put pressure on financial institutions until they stop them. Pragmatic, we know how to build alliances with other players and put our expertise at the service of financial institutions and political decision-makers who wish to transform their existing practices to align with ecological imperatives.

Main Responsibilities:

Supervises and supports campaigners and analysts

  • Helps them to organize their working time and priorities.

  • In addition to the Director, he/she accompanies them in strategic and tactical thinking about their respective projects and campaigns.

Accompanies and facilitates the construction and smooth running of projects

  • Assesses the feasibility of each new project against our resources.

  • Is responsible for establishing a workload plan for each project, a retro-planning and its good understanding by all those involved, before it starts.

  • Accompanies the Project Manager in a precise identification of the tactics to be deployed in order to achieve the objectives and in designing the project’s timetable.

  • Consults with the Project Manager and other team members, particularly those in charge of support positions, to calibrate the project in order to ensure its feasibility and the association’s resilience.

  • Conducts a weekly review with all those involved in a project in order to assess the project’s progress, anticipate possible obstacles to its deployment and find solutions.

  • Conducts a weekly review with the Communications Manager to prepare meetings for the development of communications strategies for each project, to ensure consistency between them and to ensure that the communications team is not overloaded.

Supports the establishment of a clear strategy and ensures the overall coherence of the projects with each other and with the political line of Friends of the Earth.

  • Along with the Director, reassesses projects and campaigns, and recalibrates them in the light of current events, priorities and resources of the association.

  • Prepares weekly campaign team meetings and bi-annual strategy meetings by ensuring that the agenda and preparatory documents (prepared by the campaign and project officers) are drawn up and communicated in advance of the meeting.

  • Is responsible for keeping the campaign schedule and mobilizing the teams for the preparation of grant applications and reporting to donors, together with the Operations Manager and the Director.

  • Is responsible, with the Director, for ensuring that Reclaim Finance’s campaigns are consistent with Friends of the Earth’s political project.

  • Ensures the preparation and presence of Reclaim Finance at monthly coordination meetings with the Friends of the Earth Finance campaign and at strategic and planning meetings with the federation.

On occasion, represents the association with associations, donors and other parties external to the association.

As Reclaim Finance is a developing organization, these responsibilities are likely to evolve.
