Hope for Justice exists to bring an end to modern slavery by preventing exploitation, rescuing victims, restoring lives and reforming society – do you share our passion to live in a world free from slavery?
Hope for Justice is seeking an exceptional candidate with at least five years’ hands-on experience developing programmes in the Global South to join our team as Programme Development Specialist.
The core of this role is the development of innovative projects and programmes, working collaboratively with survivors and partner organisations to conceptualise new ways of working based on the best available evidence about what works. The role will also involve taking our established body of mature programming and seeing how it can be contextualised and applied in new communities and geographies.
The role involves working alongside those responsible for securing funding for our projects, ensuring we are developing great, survivor-centred programmes that are also highly fundable. It will also give technical input and strategic input into the overall direction of travel for Hope for Justice’s programming as we seek to bring an end to modern slavery.
The successful candidate will have experience of the anti-trafficking sector and a relevant qualification in project/programme management. The role will suit someone with a proven expertise in relationship-building, facilitation of workshops and working groups, critical thinking, and a fundamentally ‘hands-on’ attitude.
This role is truly flexible – it can be based out of any of Hope for Justice’s main offices in Europe (UK/Norway) or Africa (Ethiopia/Uganda). We welcome applications from candidates from diverse cultural backgrounds.
