Opportunity Summary:

We have an incredible opportunity for an experienced Video Editor to join our internal broadcast team!  In this role you will have the opportunity to edit assigned commercials, stories, pieces, segments, and promos using professional video equipment and editing techniques that creatively portray the ministry, work, needs, and projects of Samaritan’s Purse in such a way that meets professional broadcast standards and also appeals to target audiences.  If you are searching more than just a job, but a Career with lasting impact, come see how we accomplish that!

Technical Requirements:

• Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
• Edit commercials, stories, pieces, segments, promos, and other assignments as instructed by Producer(s) and Production Manager with little or no supervision.
• Perform quality control of all tapes sent out by Broadcast.
  Demonstrate excellence and expertise in application of video and audio standards in editing, proficiency using professional editing systems and components within the edit systems.
• Provide creative editing ideas, suggestions, moves, and incorporate graphics prior to and during an edit session.  
• Maintain high level of current knowledge in Non-Linear and/or Linear Edit systems to the point of trainer qualification; assist and instruct other editors in their development.
• Contribute constructive video production ideas and overall organizational video strategies in production meetings, on video shoots, and during brainstorming sessions and production.
• Take direction from anyone ultimately responsible for final production of any video piece, whether in an edit session or in the field.  
• Work in tandom with other departments, organizations, volunteers, nationals to produce the best video editing possible.
