“In March 2014, the Governments of Chile, Denmark, Ghana, Indonesia and Morocco marked the 30th anniversary of the UN Convention against Torture by launching a ten year global initiative for the universal ratification and implementation of the Convention. The Convention against Torture Initiative (CTI) aims to promote technical advice, support and cooperation among State-parties as well as non-State parties to the Convention – in order to help States overcome technical and capacity-related obstacles to ratification and implementation of the Convention.”
