Summary
Position available for a highly motivated and organized independent research professional in a cancer immunotherapy laboratory. The ideal candidate will have exceptional laboratory skills in tissue culture, animal husbandry, PCR, and immunologic assays. In addition to management and technical responsibilities, job candidate will be trained in cell therapy GMP and participate in the manufacturing of cell products for use in phase I clinical trials.
Job Purpose
Performs responsible research work of a complex nature that requires establishing test methods and procedures as well as planning, completing, and occasionally supervising limited research projects in accordance with general plans approved by the supervisor.
Job Duties
- Maintain day to day operations of a research laboratory including conducting inventory and ordering supplies, general animal husbandry, and assisting other laboratory members with experimental tasks that include but are not limited to tissue culture, PCR, ELISA, western blotting, DNA cloning, and flow cytometry.
- Serve as a GMP manufacturing technician under the direction of the GMP project manage and will become proficient in cell therapy GMP policies, procedures, and SOPs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a Basic Science or a related field.
- Three years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- 5 years laboratory experience.
- Previous experience in tissue culture, flow cyometry, and GMP policies and procedures, also a plus.
