A deep commitment to the mission of developing and sharing new, cost-effective and sustainable genetic technologies to modify mosquitoes and reduce malaria transmission is required.

This position will work with large autonomy and requires the ability to self-organise to achieve the project’s milestones. The officer will be accountable for the support to African teams in the delivery of their key engagement activities and milestones and will report to the leadership level on any new challenges and opportunities arising in the process of doing so. The officer will be responsible for collecting and consolidating inputs from Africa teams to ensure that all strategic decisions made by the function are fit for purpose and aligned with best practice. The officer will need to build strong relationships with each of the teams and be fluent in the project’s scientific and technical aspects in order to represent its work, and be proactive in identifying and addressing possible hurdles, challenges and delays.
