The British Embassy in Moscow is part of a world-wide network, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas and is looking for a UK-Russia Creative Bridge 2021/22 Programme Coordinator. The purpose of the job is to make a positive and lasting difference to the relationship between Russia and the UK by supporting delivery of the UK-Russia Creative Bridge 2021-22 programme.
UK – Russia Creative Bridge 2021-22 is a professional development programme that aims to connect cultural professionals and artists in Russia and the UK and create new opportunities for both individuals and cultural institutions that desire to work with the UK arts sector.
UK – Russia Creative Bridge 2020-21 is a programme of activities designed to offer training programmes to Russian cultural professionals, to create networking opportunities for cross-cultural dialogue and exchange, to support long-term partnerships between the UK and Russian cultural organisations through collaborative projects, and to foster links between the UK and Russian creative education institutions.
UK – Russia Creative Bridge 2020-21 is delivered by the British Council, operating in Russia as the Cultural and Education Section of the British Embassy in Moscow, in partnership with a number of Russian cultural institutions, with funding from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
UK – Russia Creative Bridge 2021-22 Programme Coordinator will support delivery of the programme by providing administrative support for the following projects and activities:
- Cultural Leadership programme
- Creative Entrepreneurship skills programme for women
- Grants to Russia and UK cultural organisations
- Inclusion in the arts programme
- UK-Russia Creative Bridge conference
The Programme Coordinator will be responsible for the following areas: project coordination and delivery, financial management and contracting, communications and knowledge management, risk management, evaluation and reporting.
Financial Management and Contracting
- Coordinating cash forecasts and monthly and quarterly reporting
- Monitoring budgets and expenditure according to corporate standards
- Preparing grant agreements and donation agreements with programme participants and collecting grant reports;
- Preparing tender documentation for outsourced services
- Preparing contracts with suppliers and providers according to corporate standards
- Preparing and collecting documentation for all types of payments
- Retaining financial documentation for accounting and audit purposes
- Working in SAP (role OS1 – PO Creator) and preparing documentation for Vendor Creation
Communications and Knowledge Management
- Handling enquiries and acting as first point of contact for external partners
- Working with partners and service providers on PR and social media campaigns
- Updating contacts database according to corporate standards
Risk Management
- Ensuring that risks are identified and monitored
- Implementing actions to mitigate risks
- Escalating risks as appropriate
Evaluation and Reporting
- Coordinating reporting processes with programme participants according to agreed plans
- Collecting and inputting scorecard data
- Supporting reporting to stakeholders and sponsors
- Experience of working with the cultural sector
- Experience of working effectively as a member of a team
- Experience of financial management and reporting
- Understanding of and commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
- Proficient written and spoken English (C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) and proficient written and spoken Russian
- Experience of coordinating large scale international programmes

This is a full-time fixed-term contract till 31 March 2022, 5 working days, 35 hours net per week.
All applicants should have a pre-existing legal status to live and work in Russia. The British Embassy does not facilitate/sponsor visa applications and work permits.
Staff recruited locally by the British Embassy in Russia is subject to Terms and Conditions of Service according to local Russian employment law.
The monthly salary for this position is Rub 79,949 gross, A2 (L) level, paid 13 times a year.
