Research Coordinator II

Summary

Opportunity to work with a dedicated team of clinicians and research coordinators to carry out cutting edge clinical studies aimed at preventing and treating Alzheimer’s Disease.

Job Purpose

Coordinates day to day activities of research protocols which include screening, enrollment, and monitoring of research participants. Ensures accurate data collection, documentation, organization and safety of research participants.

Job Duties

  • Reviews and edits data submitted by clinicians and research coordinators prior to data entry. (25%)
  • Provides feedback to clinical staff regarding missing data and data errors. (10%)
  • Enters study data into in-house developed database system and other clinical trial specific platform. (25%)
  • Assists with quality assurance procedures; may be required to conduct chart review in the medical records to collect incomplete data. (10%)
  • Maintains study files to allow ease of search for source data (10%) • Conduct telephone follow-ups to track database patients with missed appointments (10%) • Support recruitment efforts by updating potential subject databases and generating reports of eligible subjects. (5%)
  • Assists faculty with poster and manuscript preparation. (5%)  
  • Oversees the maintenance of lab equipment and environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • One year of relevant experience.

Other

  • Knowledge of Research processes a must.
  • Basic knowledge of Clinical Research.
  • Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to understand and implement patient studies and protocols.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to coordinate research studies.
