The Job:

World Vision is looking for a Senior Research, Learning and Analytics Specialist to support revenue acquisition, technical branding, and policy and program implementation by providing evidence of impact through primary and secondary research, extraction and analysis of program data.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Design, develop and produce an analysis of WVUS-funded projects, creating data, summaries, reports, and visuals for various stakeholders to assist in private and grant-funded fundraising efforts.
  • Extract and store project data from disparate internal and external systems. Develop and maintain extensive and highly complex data sets and develop analysis and insights to reveal patterns, trends and associations.
  • Identify, analyze and summarize evidence from program/project evaluations and research studies across International Programming Group (IPG) teams.
  • Conduct background research, analysis and writing support for key research projects, ensuring we ask the right questions, implement the right design, conduct the right measures, and provide the highest quality reporting and communications.
  • Manage temporary and consultant researchers and analysts on key projects, ensuring work products are delivered on time, on budget and with the highest quality outcomes.
  • Remain current on relevant donor and peer organization research, strategies, evaluation and learning policies, trends, and new methodologies. Prepare regular updates for IPG teams.
  • Support Gender Equality mainstreaming in WVUS programs through secondary research and analytics.
  • Participate in external conferences and working groups, helping to position World Vision as an industry leader on issues of evidence, impact and analysis.
  • Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as a member of a team.

You Bring These Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including both strong scientific writing skills and for lay audiences) (must)
  • Analytical skills (ability to work with messy or missing data) (must)
  • Attention to detail (must)
  • Experienced user of SAS, R, Stata and/or SPSS (must)
  • User of geospatial analysis (beneficial, bonus)
  • Some experience in qualitative data analysis including use of NVivo, Dedoose or other qualitative data software packages (beneficial, bonus)

Education and Experience:

Master’s degree in Data Science, Applied Statistics, Analytics, or International Development, Public Health, Social Work, Gender Studies with relevant course work on analytics.

Additional Skills We Are Interested In:

Spanish is a plus.
