Overview
Operation Christmas Child (OCC), a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse, is searching for a Multimedia Training Specialist to serve at our IHQ in Boone, NC. Come join an amazing team and help be a part of advancing God’s Kingdom to the nations!
A day in the life of a Multimedia Training Specialist:
At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do! We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe.
In the role of Multimedia Training Specialist, you will have the opportunity to:
- Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
- Support the development and maintenance of training resources according to instructional design principles
- Design, develop, and manage online training
- Edit and publish video and audio for computer-based training
- Capture video and audio content for the needs of the Training team, Volunteer Relations team, and greater OCC project including executive leadership and key stakeholders
- Design, develop, and manage non-video based resources used in online training
- Research, design, implement, and support additional training solutions such as webinars, Articulate 360, and Podcasts
- Support the management and use of the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Collect field footage and shoot on-location as needed
- All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of multi-camera field production techniques including lighting, audio, video, managing talent, and teleprompting in both studio and field settings
- Proficiency in supplemental Adobe Creative Cloud products including InDesign, Acrobat DC, Illustrator, and Lightroom
- Proficiency in the Articulate 360 platform (Storyline or Rise)
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Strong problem solving skills to identify and troubleshoot basic software and audio/visual equipment problems on the spot
- Current knowledge of industry-standard video, audio and lighting equipment
- Keen attention to detail
- Team player who can also effectively work individually with minimal direction
- Flexible and positive attitude who enjoys serving others
- Prior experience designing content for high-functioning volunteers preferred
- High Impact Volunteer Ministry training (E1) is a plus
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Communications, or Media from a four-year college or university and two (2) to four (4) years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Location: IHQ in Boone, NC
Type: Full-time
Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required)
Travel Expectations: 40-50 nights domestic travel annually
