Staff Scientist

Summary

The Chin lab investigates the molecular mechanisms underlying neuronal and cognitive deficits in Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy, and other neurological disorders, using transgenic mouse models. New lab members will join a team of researchers utilizing a multidisciplinary approach including molecular biology and biochemistry, behavior, genetic and pharmacological interventions, and in vivo physiology. The Staff Scientist will independently plan and perform molecular biological and biochemical experiments to support research projects in the lab, design and construct viral vectors for manipulation of gene expression in mouse models of disease, and assist the PI in coordinating the logistics of ongoing studies in the lab. We offer a highly collaborative and interactive laboratory research environment in the Department of Neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine.
