How can you make a difference?

  1. Programme Assistant (Intern), ADAP Knowledge management will be accountable for supporting evidence generation, data and ongoing research, documentation of good practices in UNICEF and mapping interagency programmes to enhance the smooth transition of ADAP section to the new CPD. The PA will contribute to showcase the best practices in UNICEF Second Decade programme and mapping best practices across UN agencies and International organizations for strengthening interagency coordination.
  2. Programme Assistant (Intern), Disability Inclusion, is accountable for supporting Disability Campaign and Disability Inclusion thematic result aimed at successful completion of the current disability campaign and planning for the final.
  3. Programme Assistant (Intern), Adolescent engagement and participation will be accountable for operational support and assistance to engage adolescents from different strata of the society and enhance the functionality of the Young Person Advisory Group (YPAG) for the office.

Description of the assignment:

The Programme Assistants (interns) will report to respective supervisors and will supports the respective section by carrying out a range of programme and administrative support functions to help develop, implement and monitor the sectoral portfolio of Adolescent and Protective Environment programmes, ensuring effective and timely delivery that is consistent with UNICEF rules and regulations.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Be enrolled in a under graduate or post graduate degree programme or be a recent graduate in the area of social work, disability, law, health, anthropology, psychology, sociology, education or other relevant fields;
  • Be proficient in English and fluent in Russian/Tajik languages; 
  • Have strong academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records or, if not available, a reference letter from an academic supervisor;
  • Good documentation skills, judgment, initiative, high sense of responsibility, tact and discretion.
  • Previous experience as volunteer, demonstrated leadership /intern in INGOs or UN is considered as advantage.
  • Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and ability to establish harmonious working relations in a multicultural environment.
  • Good computer skills and management of work using online platform.
