ISD are expanding our exciting Youth Civic Action Academy programme in Jordan, aiming to empower youth to take an active role in preventing violence and building social cohesion in their local communities. The project will engage diverse stakeholders to promote media literacy and combat hate speech, cyberbullying, misinformation and violent extremism.

As such, ISD are recruiting a Finance and Administration Project Coordinator to provide key support in establishing ISD’s office and ground operations in Jordan, and thereafter be a key person in ensuring that the projects finances are managed effectively, all operational requirements are met for a functional team, and ensure that the team are following security procedures.

Working closely with the Project Manager, the Senior Operations Manager and with support from our international operations team in London, the post holder will manage the finances of the project and our operations in Jordan, ensuring the project bank account is maintained and that all transactions are accurately recorded and maintained. On the operational side, the Coordinator have a primary role in ensuring all activities are following ISD’s policies and processes, especially in dealing with local suppliers, booking travel, organizing IT equipment and ensuring the Jordan office is run effectively.

All applicants need to possess a professional qualification in accounting, finance, or business administration, with demonstrated experience of financial administration for a business or charity. All candidates need to be fully fluent in both English and Arabic.

Please note this is a part-time, 1-2 day a week position.
