UNICEF promotes the rights and welfare of all children and adolescents in everything we do. Together with our allies, we work in 190 countries and territories to transform this commitment into practical actions that benefit all children, especially focusing our efforts on reaching the most vulnerable and excluded, worldwide.
UNICEF has a growing experience of engaging and working with and on business. There is a strong need to align colleagues on the ambition, programmatic contribution, and mechanisms of engaging with business, across the region and across UNICEF areas (Private Fundraising and Partnership, Programme, Operation, Communications, and senior management).
UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.
And we never give up.
For every child, hope
The Regional Office of Latin America and the Caribbean of UNICEF (LACRO) works to build a corporate and philanthropic culture aimed at building spaces for the development of the CDN and where the private sector is an agent of change in the LAC countries. PFP actions in the region work to increase resources for UNICEF programs but also to improve non-financial collaboration with companies, foundations and private sector agents, improving value chains, self-regulation, public-private collaborations and in general development of the SDGs, especially on SDG # 17.
In this line of action and understanding that it is essential to improve the culture of philanthropy and corporate development, that is why we propose a series of actions that allow us to raise the debate around culture and the relations between the private sector and UNICEF.
