Position : Prosthetics and Orthotics expert

Location:Yemen ( Taiz – Marib )

Length of Contract: 6 Months

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1- Capacity building of the technical staff through the following:

· Manufacturing, maintains, and repairs artificial limbs, plastic cosmetic appliances, and other prosthetic devices, according to specifications provided by PROSTHETIST or PROSTHETICS ASSISTANT to have a perfect limb.

· Lays out and marks dimensions of parts, using precision measuring instruments and templates

· Rising awareness about anatomy, patient’s physical rehabilitation, and good relations with patients and their families.

· Ability to tech the patients about the necessary exercises, using and protecting the new limb.

· Rising the ability of using Saws, carves, cuts, and grinds wood, plastic, metal, or fabric to fabricate parts, to have artificial limbs.

· Encouraging the staff to work in a team.

2- Work with the staff to fix the problems in the productions

3- Orientation the staff in the details as required

4- Developing the capacity of the staff to be able to product and maintain all types of prosthetics.

Qualifications:

• Certificated by national or international institute for rehabilitation the Prosthetics.

• Three years in practical experience at least.

• Team leading experience.

• Able to arise the competence of the staff

• Arabic and English fluently speaking, writing, reading are required.
