DRC Jordan is looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of Team Leader –Project (TL-P) who will be responsible for co-coordinating the set-up, kick off and continued implementation of a large funded cash for work project in the Mafraq and Irbid in the north of Jordan, centered on Mafraq. Under the supervision of the, the TL will provide project technical support, and facilitate coordination between national and local institutions, community stakeholders, and project partners in order to meet the overall project goals. Primary responsibilities will be leading LLH outreach officers and Assistants in their roles and responsibilities of organizing and managing sites for beneficiaries, insuring worker attendance, safety, tools and materials, drinking water, and overall safety and security of the Cash for Worker and that the CfW programming is being implemented in a manner that complies with international standards of operation for CfW activities, so that proper reporting of attendance and payment can be made for finance and to the donor for timely payroll.

About the job

The individual will report directly to Base Manager-Mafraq. Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

· Provide technical input and supervision of project team works on AICS program site/s in both bases.

· Facilitate continuous dialogue and communication between the technical partners, national partners, and project staff;

· Assist the Base Managers and Area Managers with preparation of the AICS project start up meeting, monthly follow up and exit meeting;

· Coordinate all processes related to hiring and supervising of the data collectors.

· Preparing all project related procurements with support from base managers and north supply chain team leader

· Engage with local communities and governments in the work site areas and Serves as DRC field focal point with the contractors and municipalities.

· Assist the work with the municipality to create advertisement for the start of the CfW activities and ensure the transparency of interested BNFs’ access to applications

· Liaise closely with the DRC Economic Recovery Technical Unit at the coordination office and other DRC Jordan departments when necessary;

· Assist in the regular data and info collection of information to feed in project assessments and reports;

· Assist in attendance checks and payroll completion, including proper distribution and maintenance of payments

· Adhere to all work plans created by the Area and Bases Manager, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are achieved on time;

· Assist in ensuring Accountability, legal, protection, payment, safety information provided to the beneficiaries, and follow up with reminders so that workers know their rights

· Ensure the respect and application of DRC Code of Conduct and DRC Policies and Procedures.

· Any other task as required by Base Managers

About you

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, natural Resource Management, Business and Management or other relevant degree. Master’s preferred.

Required / Desirable

· Experience working with rural communities in Jordan;

· Experience working with local and national government entities in Jordan, specifically the Municipalities and Counsels of Joint Services.

· Experience working with vulnerable communities and associated stakeholders;

· Experience working in a team environment, both as a leader and collaborator, required;

· Ability to think creatively and to be solution oriented;

· Ability and willingness to maintain regular presence at project sites and to work during irregular working hours;

· Ability to write reports in a timely fashion;

· Computer skills (Excel, Microsoft, PowerPoint and Outlook).

· Understanding of the socio-economic conditions and needs of Syrian refugee populations desirable;

  • Ability to work effectively as an integral part of a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team and to work with a wide range of government and community counterparts, and other actors;
  • Full professional proficiency in English and Arabic
