Takaful Al Sham Charity is a non-governmental civil society organization devoted to alleviating the suffering and improving the sustainability mechanisms of the conflict-affected populations.
Takaful Al Sham Charity partners directly with affected Syrian populations delivering humanitarian and development programs, Early recovery, Education, and Protection, to enable them to improve their living practices and their sustainability mechanisms.

Job Purpose:
The IT Support officer maintains the computer networks of all types of the organization, providing technical support and ensuring the whole organization runs smoothly. IT Support monitors and maintains the organization’s computer systems, installs and configures hardware and software, and solves technical problems. Because of the nature of the job, some companies may require their IT Support to undertake shift work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide technical assistance with computer hardware and software
• Frequently monitor the internet usage of the office Internet connection.
• Support Procurement officers in Identifying the right IT related equipment’s purchase
• Follow up on IT-related equipment maintenance in collaboration with other units
• Follow up if the internet connection is not working or when there is a slow connection.
• Installing and configuring network devices like Print Server, Switch/Hubs, Router, and cabling.
• Make sure the Network Infrastructure is properly functioning.
• Complete detailed reports listing requests for technical assistance steps taken to resolve them, and the specific dates/individuals involved
• Act as the initial point of contact for all computer and system-related concerns from employees
• Perform hardware and software installations, configurations, and updates as needed
• Provide technical assistance with computer hardware and software
• Assist management in creating training materials pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage
• Organize and file documentation pertaining to warranties and instructional guides for computer hardware
• Maintain a working log detailing all required system updates, as well as the date of completion
• Attend in-person meetings with clients to analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose hardware problems
• Resolve technical issues related to network interruptions
• Actively update, maintain and monitor all aspects of computer networks
Qualifications and Requirments:
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field is preferred
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in an information technology-focused position involving technical knowledge of an organization’s services
• Professional written and interpersonal skills are essential when communicating with employees
• Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently
• Extensive experience working with different operating systems including Windows and Mac OS
• Accept constructive criticism and customer feedback regarding their experience with software or IT services
• Comfortable working in and assisting others through organization help desk software, in addition to other remote access desktop programs
• Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution
• CISCO, MCSE or Other certifications/training in Information Communication Technology, training on Advanced/specialized computer applications are advantages
• LAN administration and Windows Server 2008 experience.
