. EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree or equivalent standard of education essential – ideally in human rights, international
development or relations, public policy, or other social sciences.
• Qualifications in SRHR or youth related policy issues desirable
5. PROVEN ABILITY
• Advanced application in youth work, preferably in the international arena
• Technical knowledge/understanding of youth issues and youth centred approaches to programming
• Understanding of SRHR, international development and humanitarian sector, human rights and gender
equality
• Knowledge/experience of implementing safeguarding and child protection policies.
• Experience managing geographically dispersed and/or matrixed teams an asse
• Experience of working in an organisation dealing with a breadth of fast-changing and controversial
issues.
• Experience leading youth networks/organisations/movements

• Experience of supporting NGOs or partners to drive change at national level, including an
understanding of the challenges and capacity needs of national organisations working in service
provision and national advocacy.
• Fluent in English and French (both oral and written) is mandatory. Knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese
or Arabic would be an additional advantage.
