The Global Alliance for Nutrition (GAIN) are seeking consultant to help the Workforce Nutrition team in collaboration with GAIN’s communications team to attract the targeted audiences and to increase their engagement for Workforce Nutrition programmes globally.

About GAIN

Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is a Swiss-based foundation launched at the UN in 2002 to tackle the human suffering caused by malnutrition. Working with both governments and businesses, we aim to transform food systems so that they deliver more nutritious food for all people. In particular, we aim to make healthier food choices more desirable, more available, and more affordable. GAIN’s mission is to advance nutrition outcomes by improving consumption of nutritious and safe food for all people, especially those most vulnerable to malnutrition.

About the consultancy

The consultant will support the Workforce Nutrition team based in GAIN Geneva and Utrecht. You will help the Workforce Nutrition team in collaboration with GAIN’s communications team to attract the targeted audiences and to increase their engagement for workforce nutrition programmes globally. This position will inspire businesses and other stakeholders to positive action towards better nutrition for their employees, incl. supply chain worker.

  • Supporting the Workforce Nutrition Alliance Programme (WNA)
  • Support executing the Communications Plan of the global nutrition tea programme with 8 private sector companies
  • Preparing outlines and briefing paper for GAIN’s Paper series
  • Developing and managing Social Media content on various topic/engagement/advocacy for our audiences
  • Support communications for Country programmes

About the consultant

To be considered for this consultancy, you will need to meet our criteria that focusses skills and experience including;

  • Master’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, international relations development studies.
  • Professional experience in the field of communications, advocacy and creative story-telling.
  • Hands on experience in translating nutritional content to business audiences.
  • Previous experience working for nutrition related programmes
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written, along with creative mindset, proactive and confident attitude;
