The division of Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP) is required to support a number of organizational change management initiatives. These initiatives emerge from PFP’s own core business, the ongoing efficiency and effectives cone activities as well as the UNICEF global human resources new and/or evolving projects. Dedicated support to PFP to ensure appropriate action is taken is required to ensure PFP HR appropriately positioned on a range of issues.
How can you make a difference?
Provide specific technical human resources services to the PFP Human Resources section to respond to the ongoing change management initiatives and global HR priorities.
In addition to support the section with focused and specific projects, additional support is also required for staff. Whilst virtual coaching is available through a corporate contract with a number of professionals, post COVID the office anticipates that there may be an increased need for such support, and having a professional available face to face, could have a significant positive impact for individual staff and the division.
MAIN TASKS
- Support the PFP HR section to manage specific workforce planning initiatives which may range from initiatives to strengthen diversity within PFP in underrepresented sectors to a review organizational structures as relates to support services. Specific project plans will be determined and agreed to, including the required output format.
- Provide support to the Global Staff Survey work plan, which focuses on deliberate changes, as relates to HR activities.
- Provide coaching services to individual staff members, as requested by the Chief of Human Resources.
DELIVERABLES
- Final Report and presentation for each project assignment, highlighting clear analysis, strategic recommendations and findings.
- Summary report of specific action taken, staff involved and outcome and further recommendations if any.
- Report on the number of coaching sessions completed.
ESTIMATED DURATION OF THE CONTRACT AND PROPOSAL
anticipated 60 working days over a period of 11.5 months.

1) Education
- Advanced degree in Human Resources Management (HRM), Psychology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a relevant social sciences field is required. (Alternatively, a first university degree and additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree.)
- Recognized professional certification in HRM is highly desirable.
- Coaching Qualification is required.
2) Work experience
- At least eight years of progressive experience in general human resources management required, with understanding of organizational structure, recruitment and work planning.
- Familiarity with UN entities and UNICEF is an advantage.
3) Other skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills;
- Fluency in English is required (Excellent written and verbal communication in English). Candidates fluent in two or more UN languages will have a competitive advantage.
- Good judgment, high sense of responsibility, tact and discretion.
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
