War Child UK is looking for a consultant to support War Child UK with their Diversity & Inclusion work by establishing a base line, identifying areas of concern, making recommendations, and creating an outline multiple-year action plan with relevant key indicators.
Overall purpose and process of the consultancy:
This consultancy will aim to provide War Child with a detailed baseline for the London office (and, where feasible, a high-level baseline for the wider organisation) and a multi-year D&I action plan for the London office that addresses the right issues, against which progress can be tracked effectively and that can be used as a template for other locations.
The consultancy will aim to:
• Establish criteria for the London (and organisational) baseline
• Identify, collect and analyse internal data related to D&I (limited data exists)
• Use a variety of methods (focus groups, surveys and interviews) to further establish the base line(s)
• Benchmark against existing external data and comparable organisations
• Identify particular areas of concern and attention
• Develop a list of recommendations and potential actions
• Draft the outlines of a realistic multi-year action plan, with a tentative timeline and full resource plan (human, financial and equipment)
• Define key success indicators and help develop the reporting to track progress effectively
Supervision and Reporting:
The consultant is expected to keep War Child UK abreast of progress through weekly updates and to build key decision-making moments into the timeline. They will be supervised by War Child UK’s Head of People and Achievement and liaise with other (HR) staff across the organisation.
