*Preferred positions location: United Kingdom. Other possible locations to be determined by home country of successful candidate in a jurisdiction (US state or country) where WVI is registered to operate.

As the UX/UI Designer (Mobile App) you will deliver the best user experience for the new global Mobile App to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty once launched to World Vision child sponsors in several markets within the next year. You will be responsible for designing user interface, user-friendly navigation and user experiences that fulfil on user expectations and are aligned with the global brand, global and local design guides and existing digital experiences.

You will work closely with the App Product Manager, with global and local digital marketing teams and with technical implementation teams to build mobile-first user experiences and interfaces that successfully engage and retain supporters. You will plan and implement new designs, optimize existing user interface designs, develop and design wireframes to support business and technical requirements, support implementation, conduct user-testing to ensure user-centred solutions, and analyse effectiveness of designs and the engagement and behaviour of users.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
  • 4+ years of experience as an UI/UX Designer or similar role in a digital technical environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of UX/UI, design thinking methodology and human-centred design.
  • Strong web-based digital design capability, mobile design, and development skills, incl. iOS and Android design and navigation systems.
  • Knowledge of wire-framing or prototyping tools and workflow models.
  • Fluent in all design tools, incl. XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Dreamweaver etc.
  • Some experience with HTML5 & CSS3.
  • Agile experience and understanding of scrum.
  • Excellent (Fluent) written and verbal communication in English.
  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
  • This position is based remotely.
