I. Company Description

II. Project Description

The Initiative for Media Freedom (IMF) is a five-year project implemented by Internews in the Philippines and supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

The project has three objectives: Improve the environment for a free press, bolster the capacity of media and other organizations to address disinformation, and strengthen media self-regulation.

III. Statement of Work

Under the oversight of the Chief of Party and the direct supervision of the Finance and HR Manager, the Operations and Finance Associate will:

· Assist the preparation of all procurement request for goods and services needed for both general operations and activity implementation

· Coordinate with Global Security Team on procurement of office lease and travel as needed

· Arrange all travel logistics for local and visiting staff, and consultants, including visas if required

· Facilitate local transportation of staff for meetings and events

· Maintain an updated list of all vendors: suppliers of goods and services, consultants, employees, and their current contracts and pending payments

· Purchase supplies and services for local office operations as well as activities

· Work with regional IT department to maintain IT needs of local office

· Prepare check and voucher

· Record all expenses using appropriate accounting codes and filling all the supporting documents

· Encoding of voucher on the Internews accounting system/program

· Support Finance and HR Manager on other tasks as needed

· Understanding of and demonstrated commitment to upholding Internews’ Core Values.

IV. Qualifications

Graduate of Finance or Business Management or other related course

Experience working with financial management of USAID funded projects

Experience with Agresso is advantage
