World Vision is seeking a Chief of Party for an anticipated USAID-funded health systems project in Senegal, Senegal Improving Health Status and Human Capital in Senegal. The overall goal of this project is defined as improving health status and human capital in Senegal. The goal directly contributes to the Senegal 2020-2025 Country Development Cooperative Strategy (CDCS) as Development Objective 2 (DO 2). The USAID funded project will strengthen systems, increase access to services, improve the quality of those services, and increase the participation of communities and other stakeholders so that the health and overall human capital status of the Senegalese population are improved.
The project combines technical assistance for service delivery and universal health coverage, social and behaviour change, subgrant funding and health systems strengthening into one mechanism. The focus of the mechanism is at district, health facility, and community levels, with support to the regional level to effectively supervise and monitor lower-level interventions.
Here’s where you come in:
As the Chief of Party, you will be World Vision’s primary point of contact with USAID and all relevant stakeholders. You will collaborate with bureaus and offices within USAID to maximize impact, and with other critical partners to provide high-level support for effective capacity building at the local level and sustainability of the project interventions. You will oversee a team of experts and support staff, prepare reports and annual operating plans, align project initiatives with in-country priorities, coordinate with consortium partners and ensure the program is compliant with USAID and World Vision’s regulations.

Requirements include:
- Masters’ degree in public health, health systems management, health policy, or an advanced degree in a related field. University degree (or higher) in clinical health field (nursing, medicine, surgery) is preferred.
- Minimum of 14 years of experience managing and leading technical and administrative teams for health projects focused on areas including maternal/child health (MCH), health systems strengthening, family planning (FP)/reproductive health (RH), malaria and/or nutrition.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior management roles with financial and technical oversight responsibilities.
- Senior-level expertise in any of the following technical areas: MNCH; health systems strengthening (health financing, health governance, human resources for health, health information systems, supply chain and health commodity management, and/or health service delivery).
- Possesses the required oral, written communication and presentation skills in French and English.
- Work experience in Senegal is required.
- Domestic and international travel may be required depending on the project.
