The Programme Quality Team is at the centre of CIUK’s new strategy for the delivery of high quality and impactful programming within CARE. The team delivers high quality technical assistance to CARE offices around the world in the areas of Women’s Economic Justice, Inclusive Governance, Emergency Shelter and Gender and Resilience. The team also provides thought leadership, learning as well as a global perspective to CARE programmes.
Women’s Economic Justice is a key part of the CARE International 2030 Vision. Within this strategy, there is an ambition to ensure that 50 million women have greater access to and control over economic resources. CARE International UK is responsible for leading the work on Women’s Economic Justice on behalf of CARE International.

About You
You are a passionate, self-motivated and experienced expert on Entrepreneurship and economic empowerment with good knowledge gender theory, women’s empowerment and feminist economic theory. You have a track record of developing and provision technical advice to large, successful donor projects, working with country and regional offices, companies, governments and international organisations in a supportive manner. You are a good communicator with a strong commitment to learning and development.
About the role
The post holder, supported by the Head of Women and Markets, is one of a team of advisors in the Women’s Economic Justice Team. As an advisor, you will be responsible for the co-development and delivery of our entrepreneurship strategy in partnership with strategic stakeholders throughout CARE.
You will bring together expertise on entrepreneurship from across CARE and in collaboration with experts across the federation, you will help define and implement a global strategy. You will identify and share proven and practical tools, models, and approaches to support country offices across the globe. You will provide oversight and use insight driven data on what works in CARE’s entrepreneurship programme and bring in external evidence to strengthen our approaches
