The Ethics and Compliance Unit (ECU) ensures that the IRC integrates a culture of Ethics and Compliance into its business globally and at all levels of the organization, in accordance with the IRC Way, our Values, and the law; and maintains effective policies, procedures, controls, processes, and systems to prevent, detect, and investigate potential violations of internal policies, law or regulation or material failures. The Unit addresses the IRC’s activities, and those of related third parties that may be viewed as acting on the IRC’s behalf such as partners, sub-grantees, subcontractors, suppliers, incentive workers, and others. The ECU is responsible for the IRC’s Code of Conduct (IRC Way), Enterprise Risk Management, Fraud and Corruption Prevention Program, and Internal Investigations. The Unit is led by the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer (CECO) who reports directly to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and to the IRC General Counsel
.Job Overview:
The Ethics and Compliance Unit (ECU) Project Manager will lead the overall project management, for global projects developed by the ECU to include: Enterprise Risk Management (ERM); Fraud and Corruption Prevention projects; Annual global Code of Conduct Training; periodic updates of the Code of Conduct; global investigation awareness projects; and any other projects for the unit. The Project Manager will work with the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer, Senior Director of Enterprise Risk Management, Director of Anti-Fraud, and Senior Director of Investigations, as appropriate to the project as well as internal business stakeholders to successfully execute on the projects.
Major Responsibilities:
• Create and maintain project plans using PM methodology. This includes:
O Work with technical lead(s) to prioritize and sequence tasks
O Develop and regularly update detailed project/program management plans
O Assign and track responsibilities and set milestones
O Build and maintain project timelines incorporating regular updates from each team
O Ensure that there is delivery against timelines
O Integrate and manage the program timeline by identifying all project internal and external interdependencies
O Handle Project Cost estimation and ongoing budget tracking
• Drive project delivery, and problem solve issues by applying a “roll up the sleeves and fix it” mind set
• Apply established criteria and tools to effectively and efficiently facilitate and report against program execution with measurable results
• Facilitate effective collaboration of project contributors to deliver efficient and timely project delivery
• Act as a point of escalation when project issues arise
• Interact with all levels of the organization: senior leaders and stakeholder functions, outside consultants, vendors and other key partners inside and outside of IRC as appropriate to the project
• Perform risk and issue management: Collaborate with all project leadership to identify risks and issues that are not visible at the task level but impact the project or broader program/portfolio
• Supervise all new content being developed and ensure consistency among the different tools/materials produced
• Exhibit a “client-first” mentality to listen and understand the needs of our country teams and incorporate them into the processes, tools, and approaches that are developed, as appropriate to a specific project
• Consider and integrate into a project as appropriate feedback from wide range of partners and independent research
• Collect and analyze project related data for inclusion in reports on project development
• Participate in other duties or special projects as the need arises
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree
• 3+ years’ experience in Project Management
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for discussions, presentations, team meetings, and written reports and an ability to be clear and concise in communications
• Strong listening skills and the ability to accurately deliver on expectations
• Good interpersonal skills
• Experience interacting and communicating effectively with members of a sophisticated organization at multiple levels
• A focus on personal growth and development, and a willingness to regularly receive and act on performance feedback in pursuit of continuous professional growth
• Excellent skills with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Preferred Additional Requirements
• French and/or Arabic language skills strongly preferred;
• PMP Certification or equivalent
Working Environment:
• Standard office work environment
• Some travel to countries of operation as needed
