Main purpose of job:
The Embassy is seeking to recruit a Corporate Services Team (CST) intern focused on Estates to collaborate in the big Estates projects and in the systematization of the different area procedures. It will require good organization, delivery and collaboration skills. The Estates intern will be in close communication with the staff from the residence in order to support or supervise different tasks
Roles and responsibilities / what will the jobholder be expected to achieve?:
- Support the Estates team in the implementation of strategies, action plans and projects to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, responsiveness and high quality customer service in the team.
- Support the Estates Accommodation officer in the arrival and departure process of the UKB staff.
- Work with the Maintenance Officer in the supervision of monthly maintenance to the different properties.
- Collaborate in big Estates projects such as warehouse inventory and garage sales.
- Search for suppliers and quotations.
- Other administrative and operational tasks as may be required.

- Currently studying or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s degree

Jobholder will be working remotely, however, will be expected to go into the Embassy from time to time.
Internship contract will end on 30 June 2021, with the possibility of renewal.
Candidates must be able to live and work in Mexico in their own right. The successful candidate will be subject to a security clearance and professional reference checks.
Employees who are not liable to pay local income tax on their Mission salary, eg some non-local national staff and some spouses or partners of UK diplomatic staff, will have their salaries abated by an equivalent amount.
