About Trust:
Founded in 2016, Trust Development and Consultancy is a Third-Party Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) and capacity development firm. Based in Gaziantep, Turkey, and focused on the MENA region, Trust was established to bridge the gap between M&E and capacity building. By merging these we increase the quality of services, producing reports and facilitating informed discussions amongst businesses, development and humanitarian practitioners. We leverage our extensive networks, in-house expertise and seasoned consultants to garner high quality information that helps our clients maximize their efficiency as NGOs, businesses, donors, and third-party groups.
To date, we have facilitated over 120 workshops and trained over 1,500 individuals. Our clients include United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), Relief International, Mercy Corps, CARE International, World Vision, Save the Children, Malteser and the Jiyan Foundation. Through our Capacity Development and Training Department we design and execute customized training programs which focus on diverging humanitarian issues. These equip our clients to achieve their greatest potential and flourish within their fields. Trust also employs a team of translators who are experienced in the humanitarian and development sectors and possess profound cultural understanding within the regions we work.
About the role:
Trust Consultancy and Development is looking for an intern to contribute to its Capacity Development Department, organizing and running trainings throughout the MENA region on topics such as:
– Gender Based Violence
– Issues surrounding refugees
– Livelihoods
– Peacebuilding
– Conflict Management **
– Business Skills
– Project Management Development.
– Organizational Capacity Assessment
– Partnership
– Accountability and Quality
– Sphere and other Humanitarian Standards
– Life skills and entrepreneurship
We leverage our network and experience to help organisations such as UNICEF and Intersos Libya, the DRC and CARE Turkey**, and Mercy Corps** Jordan and Lebanon develop their work and strengthen their partners working throughout the region. The countries we predominately work in are:

Description of offer:
The successful applicant will joinTrust’s Junior Officer Program. This program seeks to provide students, recent graduates, and emerging professionals with the opportunity to advance their knowledge in international development, humanitarian aid, and monitoring and evaluation. Unlike many traditional internships, our Junior Project Officers are given purposeful tasks and genuine responsibilities that will enhance their own professional development as well as the mission and goals of the company. In this role, the Junior Officer will prepare proposals and reports for the training that Trust conducts, manage databases, organize webinars, conduct data analysis and write blog posts. You will work alongside Trust’s extensive network of consultants throughout MENA to design training sessions and ensure that they run smoothly. You will also have the opportunity to join these training sessions. **
This internship is full-time or part time for up to 6 months and is remote. We seek someone with native-level English who is in the MENA region or Europe, to work within a similar time-zone to our team based between the UK, France and Turkey.
The ideal candidate will:

Possess strong research skills

Have previous research experience in one or more of the areas detailed above

Be a native-level English speaker with excellent writing and research skills

Have recently graduated with MA/PHD or currently studying for MA/PHD

Demonstrate a profound understanding and interest in development/humanitarian sector

Possess work experience in a relevant position (not necessary but an asset)

Possess strong knowledge or experience in the MENA region (not necessary but an asset)

Have the ability to manage diverse activities and to meet deadlines

Have very good organizational, administrative skills, analytical skills and excellent attention to detail

Be able to work in a multi-cultural work environment

Have strong writing and editing skills for different purposes

Knowledge of Arabic, Turkish and other languages is a bonus
