Apply if you want to develop and launch products and services that excite you!

Seefar is not your normal organisation. We incubate and launch new products and services all over the world. Our people travel and work everywhere from Afghanistan and Iraq to Barbados and London. We deploy the toolkit from profit-driven corporations and apply it to our non-profit social mission of providing opportunities for vulnerable people all over the world. We have raised over $50m for products and services and used the proceeds to support more than one million beneficiaries, including victims of human trafficking; refugees and survivors of gender based violence.

As a Product Developer at Seefar, you will be part of a special team tasked with ensuring the success of multiple products and services. A particular focus will be on consumer facing products and services that accelerate the drawdown of carbon from Earth’s atmosphere. You will be proud of the impact you create, the things you will learn and the fun you will have. We are looking for an action + impact orientated achiever with a degree in business/product/marketing or innovation, along with 1-2 years of relevant professional experience. This is an initial six-month contract position, working remotely from wherever in the world you like.

Job Description

We are a social enterprise with a vision for a world where vulnerable people have more opportunities to advance themselves. We work with some of the most vulnerable populations whose situations are impacted more and more by climate change. Climate change has become a hidden driver of migration, human trafficking, displacement, extremism and social exclusion in many contexts, as well as being one of humanity’s greatest challenges in its own right. We work in East Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, East Africa, North Africa, the Sahel and Europe. For more information about us, please visit http://seefar.org/about-us

Over the past two years Seefar has been incubating and launching multiple commercial activities in the counselling, health, sports fitness, recruitment and environmental sectors. All of these initiatives support our mission of providing opportunities for some of the most vulnerable people in the world, while also producing revenue we can reinvest into our beneficiary driven services.

This role demands someone who is smart, intrinsically motivated, worldly and interested in hard challenges. Seefar has a bias towards action + impact and you should share this instinct.

We are looking for someone with:

  • An instinct and the leadership sense to drive towards action + impact.
  • A business, innovation, product, marketing and/or relevant degree.
  • 1-2 years professional experience or exposure in the design, development and launch stages of product management.
  • Experience or knowledge of segmenting and targeting markets.
  • A passion for using business to achieve impact in the world.
  • Motivation to learn, develop, and grow to achieve, with an openness to new places and cultures, and high comfort working with a diverse, geographically spread team.
  • Comfort learning and adapting to new software, and a willingness to communicate using Skype.
  • Complete fluency in oral and written English.

The following are the primary responsibilities of the role, with estimated allocations of time and attention.
