Summary of position:
As a member of the Common Services Program, the Logistics Clerk provides clerical support to the fleet coordination services, to the protocol and customs services and the mail coordination services; and performs other duties.

 

Essential qualifications:
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates will initially be screened against the Essential Qualifications relating to education, experience and language. Candidates must clearly demonstrate in their cover letter and CV how they meet each of these essential qualifications.

Language:
• Fluency in English and Filipino (read, write, speak)

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university

Experience:
• At least 2 years of recent* experience with standard office procedures
• Experience with computer applications, including Microsoft Office

*”Recent” is defined as within the last five (5) years

RATED REQUIREMENTS
The Rated Requirements relating to knowledge, abilities and competencies will also be assessed. Methods of assessment may include, but are not limited to, a written examination, an oral interview, role-play, practical tests, presentations and/or psychometric assessment.

Asset Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates who meet the Asset Qualifications. Where applicable, candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet any asset qualifications in their cover letter and CV.
• Ability to communicate in French (orally or in writing)
• Ability to use MS Excel at an Intermediate level
• Work experience in a diplomatic mission and/or international organization
• Work experience in a role related to fleet of vehicles management

 

Organizational Needs:

 

Operational Requirements:
• Be able and committed to working additional hours as required, and on short notice, during evenings and weekends.
• 37.5 hours per week

 

Condition(s) of Employment:
The successful candidate must:
• Obtain and maintain the required level of security clearance from the Government of Canada. This involves, among other things, criminal record checks, credit checks and validation of qualifications.
• Meet the employer’s medical requirements by undergoing a medical evaluation by a physician.
• If non-citizen of the Philippines, have the possession of or ability to procure a valid working permit in the Philippines for an indeterminate period.
