Experience / Training

 

Education

Hold a master’s degree in social science or any related field (unless compensated with minimum 7 year of relevant work experience)

Professional Experience

At least 5 years relevant program management in the protection sector in emergency settings

Professional Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships government counterparts
  • Familiarity with the protection cluster system, sub-clusters, and different working groups/task forces – general and SAGs.
  • Strong representation and negotiation skills
  • Proven experience with donor compliance, proposal, budget design and reporting
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Strong admin/finance skills are an asset
  • Demonstrated experience in staff supervision and remote management
  • Strong experience with monitoring tools and systems
  • Demonstrated training and coaching experience
  • Demonstrate experience with integrated programming (health, nutrition, protection (MH/PSS), WASH, livelihoods, etc.)
  • Prior experience in leading and carrying out protection & multi-sector rapid assessments and intention surveys in challenging environment
  • Prior experience in roles of coordination and representation
  • Deep knowledge of PSS/MH, community-based protection, protection mainstreaming, referral pathways and service mapping
  • Prior experience in working in protracted complex emergency setting, involving high numbers internal displacement and refugees/asylum seekers, in addition to migrants

Languages

  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Arabic would be asset (read and write), but ideally Arab native speaker with excellent English skills
