- To act as the focal person in managing, coordinating and implementing all activities to LGU and community partners specific to Action Against Hunger Results
- To prepare work plan, regular reports, capitalization reports and lead in consolidating documents
- To organize and participate seminars, conferences activities related with DRR and Climate Change Adaptation
- To assist the DRR Project Officer and/or Head of Project in planning, managing, coordinating and implementing all the Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation activities with partner Local Government Units and communities. To take lead in the implementation of Key Result of Action of Against Hunger in selected Municipal and Barangays partners.
Key activities in your role will include
Objective 1: To act as the focal person in managing, coordinating and implementing all activities to LGU and community partners specific to Action Against Hunger Results
- Lead in the coordination of local partners (municipality and Barangay) and other shareholders and ensure timely implementation of the planned activities in coordination with DRR Project Officer and/or Head of Project.
- Lead in the implementation of Action Against Hunger results under the Project to assigned covered areas
- Support the DRR Project Officer and/or Head of Project in the development and or review and conduct of capacity building modules related to PCVA , Contingency Planning, Resilient Livelihood; micro insurance and other technical trainings and orientations among LGUs and community partners.
- Lead in facilitating the review of the Local DRRM Plan and other technical trainings.
- Support Project level advocacy initiatives related to DRR and Climate Change
- Provide inputs on the project reports
- Any other task required to achieve the Project objective.
Objective 2: To prepare work plan, regular reports, capitalization reports and lead in consolidating documents
- Prepare weekly and monthly plans and updates/progress report on achievements
- Contribute in the donor interim and final reports and submit following the Mission Reporting System
- Develop and Maintain database of Photos, Videos and other multi-media document related to the project
- Contribute in preparing meeting minutes including Project team monthly meeting, DRR training proceedings and other reports requested by HoP
- Assist the DRR Project Officer and/or Head of Project in capitalization of the experience in DRR activities of the Project
Objective 3: To organize/participate seminars, conferences activities related with DRR and Climate Change Adaptation
- Under proper authorization, represent Action Against Hunger and actively participate in DRR-related events in projects áreas or elsewhere
- Actively search for local capacities with potential to give and add value to the project (NGO, institutions universities etc.)
Do you meet the profile required criteria?
- Technical Knowledge:
- Essential knowledge and understanding of RA 10121 and Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction, resilient livelihoods. Knowledge on local government processes
- Good presentation and communication skills for a number of different audiences
- Experience: At least 2 years’ experience in Community Organizing, DRR related work ( non-humanitarian), work with local government units and other stakeholders.
- Language: Filipino, English and good technical writing skills**
- IT Systems: Competent in the use of Microsoft Office computer programs including Word Excel & Powerpoint**
