Main purpose of job:
- Responsible for set-up and delivery of business hospitality at the official residence and British High Commission
- Responsible for procurement of all beverages and stock control of the wine cellar
- Assists the Residence Manager with the running of the estate, deputising when necessary
- Responsible for Residence inventories – china, crystal, silver and furniture
- Responsible for housekeeping and cleaning of official residence/household
Roles and responsibilities:
- Assists with set-up and delivery of food and beverage service at events hosted by the High Commissioner at the British High Commission
Setting dining table for official entertaining - Setting up bars for official receptions
- Food and beverage service at official events
- Supervising casual waiting staff
- Care and cleaning of silverware, furniture and brass plaque
- Procurement of all beverages
- Management of wine cellar – monthly stock-take; sourcing new wineries; matching wine for official entertaining; accounting for beverage usage and submitting monthly costings to Residence Manager
- Assisting Residence Manager run estate
- Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping of official and household areas at the residence
- Moving furniture and setting up function rooms in liaison with the Residence Manager
- Cleaning all function equipment, china, crystal and silverware after use
- Preparing bedrooms and bathrooms for official houseguests; cleaning of household rooms
- Responsible for laundering all official and household linen
- Laundry for houseguests and/or HC on official business
- Liaising with Facility Managers (JLL) and contractors

- Responsible for the silverware, crystal, china and linen inventories

This is a maternity leave cover and a fixed-term role up to 12 months.
